These plastic sieves are available at any ceramic supply store. Better metal ones can be purchased on Amazon or Ebay (shown on the inset), I 3D-print supports to mount these on my two-gallon buckets. Coaxing this particular slurry through the sieve took considerable effort, I had to use plenty of water. Balls of plastic material formed as I brushed, which means this material is a distinct combination of fine-particled clay and much coarser grains of minerals. Many sedimentary clays would just go right through a screen like this, with little or no residue remaining. Needing the high water content in this slurry will really slow down processing. It also means that 30 mesh is likely the finest screen that will be practical here. That being said, a vibrating sieve would change that.
