Epsom Salts

Very small amounts of this electrolyte material are normally used to adjust the rheology properties of ceramic glaze and clay slurries.

It is not considered a hazardous material although it may cause irritation on inhalation or eye contact. Causes nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea if ingested. At very high temperatures sulfur dioxide and sulfur trioxide may be generated.
