This is being sold by Imerys as an equivalent to G200 Feldspar (because the mine of the latter is being closed during 2013 because the deposit is depleted). The data sheet says it is obtained from a feldspathic sand by a flotation process.
It is 70% K Feldspar, 23% Na Feldspar, 7% quartz.
Particle size:
+200 mesh: 0.5%
+325 mesh: 6.2%
On paper the chemistry is pretty similar to G-200.
Laguna Clay is now selling Mahavir Feldspar from India as the G200 equivalent.
